Both are inexpensive host. Which one is most reliable?

there both resellers for donhost so they are only as reliable as donhost.
Send each a few support emails asking some basic and advanced questions see which answers first and with the most knowledgeable answers.

Wow... I wish you had a third choice. I was curious about Directoris for awhile but after a number of checks of sites on their server (shows - very slow), I decided that it would be better to keep the $14. As far as 9kd.net... it feels too much like another Tacid to me.
I'd be surprised to see either of them (at least in their current presentation) around in 6 months.
One that I'm currently looking at is http://www.hosturbo.com. At least they are offering something that looks more doable in the longer run.

I don't know much about them. They recently turned up at WebHostingTalk with a special this month that is not on their site (1.5gb and 150mg for $19.95). I read somewhere they are based in India and their site says the servers are in Scranton, PA. (Isn't VDI in NY or FL???)
I have also run a few NetMechanic server checks on them and they have all come back as "very good".
That's all I know and I'd like to know more. I think I'll start a new thread.

That's funny. When they have been discussed here all have agreed they have good speed. As I've said before I don't think one can judge hosts that isn't out of their diapers. But I still think Directoris is a better choice than 9kd at the moment. Directois low price is an introductory offer, 9kd seems to plan to keep the price. Also, since Directoris' offer is a one time fee, there is much to win if they prove to be a good host. We'll know in 2 weeks what they will charge for their accounts in the future. ;)

Check out dim8.net or www.your-site.com! They both are equally good just dim8.net offers more for your money.

I've replied in the new thread you started, should have copied the URL, but forgot to.

If you need very little resources, I would suggest www.servus.ws . Servus and Dim8 are on the same noc, etc.

I think directoris is pretty good, only donhost isn't. My site has been down some times.
