School hosting providers

I see a lot of schools paying high prices for webhosting so I would like to know why they think If they pay big bucks to a large company they will get a better service forget about computer supplies where they charge up to $10 for the regular mouse.

Schools pay a large price for hosting because there are certain regualtions that the webhost must adhere to. For the most part, a webhost will not make any money hosting a school site because of what they must do to be allowed to host them.

All big schools have their own server/ IT room. I don't know of any that "pay" for hosting...
