any fwp offer free domain hosting? not domain redirecting.. but accually virtual domain hosting.. I don't care about banners.

I really don't advise using portland, unless...

you like a superslow server, especially when using cgi scripts, you use less then 150meg of bandwidth a month. oh, you can only use http://www.yourdomain.com, and never http://yourdomain.com, unless you use their pay service.

the ONLY plus to them, is that they have no banner ads.

my site is currently hosted on their server, but I want to move it as soon as I can.

i wouldn't really advise going with any of those. they are just the ones i knew of so i posted them.

I'm thinking of switching to netfirms... although I'm not technically a company.. hehe

basically, if you want a domain name, and a somewhat good host, you have to pay for it.

netfirms isn't too bad. i can even live with the banner, but the pop-ups really annoy me.
