I too prefer Burger King, however the only nearby burger king requires a 30 minute drive on the highway, out to where the military bases is, so I eat there rarely.

Next.

No one goes to McDonald's for a deli sandwich, their people should know that. You go to Subway or Quiznos when you want a good sandwich in a fast food setting...you go to McDonalds for a greasy burger that you just want every now and then.

Personally, I still prefer Wendy's over any of these burger joints...but that's just me. :p

Hah, I am starting to think there is something wrong with Victoria's fast food joints.

I also like Wendy's, but the only location is situated in the worst part of town, making the establishment ever so unclean.

What's this now? Cleanliness is a factor in fast food joints? :p

Of course you goto subway for some deli sandwiches. But their stuff is kind of expensive and they overcharge.
Hint 1: say your student and show some school ID. I pay 5-6$ for a combo like that
Hint 2: ebay->subway stamps :)
Hint 3: put complete card on counter, say you pay with that. Pay a buck or two for drink and when the dude leaves and forgets your card take it back hah

Burger king has good french fries indeed.
Oh, and I love their spicey chicken sandwich, the long one, not the burger. But they only make them a few times a year :(

Believe it or not, I ate for the first time at wendys yesterday. Triple classic something with cheese expanded. GOD was that greesey. In fact it was the most greased burger I ate in my life. The taste wasnt anything special too. Now I gotta try their spicey chicken burger. But their packing was high quality.

Oh, nobody mentionned that, but A&W has damn good burgers. They'r just Great!
Expensive but from time to time you can get one. And they'r just like advertised on the pictures, Big Juicy and Meaty :p But just dont get the root beer....

Burger King: 4mins from home
McDonalds: 4mins from home
Subway: 5mins from home
A&W: 10mins from home
Wendys: 20mins from home

And a burger king straight at work :)

Yea, anyways, I like fast food and I'll be sure to visit a mcdonalds for those free deli stuff :p

Sorry Ronald McD.

Costco already supplies all my free sampling needs. And not just from noon till 6 on select dates.

Yeah, Costco's free samples all add up to an entire meal in the end.

Look on the bright side - we get soggy badly made burgers and meals looking at the outside the UK menu's. We always got some really bad representation of a previous offer in Scotland. Which might have been a good health point.

Our guys service McDonalds - as in the IT kit, tills and stuff and they will only accept a cup of tea or coffee but no food.

Plus the usual 'I probably don't want to help you' approach from staff who feel suitably demorilised.

I know one member will appreciate (sarcasm) the fact that we now get salads from MD locally.

I have never seen anything comming out of a fast food place that even comes close to being close to what they sell.

The closest fast food chain to my house is Subway.
Maccas is close, but you need a car for it to be close, and I can't drive yet :(

Have macca's ruined your guys fries overseas like they have here in Aus. Canola oil, trying to make macca's healthy.... grrrrr. If I wanted to eat healthy I would make my own frickin sandwich. They have ----e burgers, now ----e fries, only thing good thing left is the chicken nuggets (now with 100% chicken breast - what was in it b4?). Hungry Jack's (our B-King) used to have the worst frie on the take away scence, but the best burgers.. I know where i'm going now! I prefer KFC anywho, but sometimes u need a burger.

Ah yes, fish-n-chips is in a league of its own. In Australia, we have some of the worlds best... Most of our shops are owned by greeks, and they know how to cook good fish and chips. Few good asian owned FnC shops around too.

tandoc
January 5th, 2005, 00:03
HAHAHA. Owned by Greeks my ---. You mean PREVIOUSLY owned by Greeks. Their time has passed, its an AZN NVAZN from here on in :P

I'm not saying either is better, but I've noticed a lot of the shops I've been to once owned by Western Orientals are now just owned by Orientals, I still go to the same shops, since the quality of the food hasn't changed, just the colour of hair I find in it :)

bozley05
January 5th, 2005, 00:08
hahahahahahaha! i must say their is an increasing number of asian owners in general, but not in my area. the greeks still have control of the charcoal chicken stores!!!

tandoc
January 5th, 2005, 00:15
well in my area there's 2 chicken shops, 2 fish n chips...

1 chicken shop is turning metrosexual, but still run by people who look greek, but not traditional blackboard prices and stuff, which is REALLY GAY. the other chicken shop is now run by asians, and tastes way better than the homosexual store across the road (it is across the road)...

the 2 fish and chip shops were owned by greeks, but asians run them both now...

luckily there's 2 sushi shops, a subway, a small sweet bakery, a baker's delign and a brumby's....

there's a choice :P

bozley05
January 5th, 2005, 00:22
you have a pretty good choice. i have 4 maccas, 4 subways, 3 HJ's, 4 KFC's, 5 fish-n-chips, 5 chicken shops, no sushi, 2 brumbys, 3 bakers delights and one tasty asian-owned bakery (awesome rolls) within 10 minutes of my house, it's hard to make a decision.

tandoc

bozley05
January 5th, 2005, 00:26
nope, i live in mt eliza (m'ton peninsula).. can goto mt eliza, frankston, frankston south or mornington. frankston has a food court, as well as stores on the highway which helps boost the stocks.
