Done. That's also how I access the forums, I have a bookmark in the Links section of IE for easy access.

I use the link on my website, which is my startpage :D
(or I go to the main site and click on forums)

I usually click on the arrow in the (IE) address bar and it's usually still in there somewhere from the last time I visited.

I used to type the URL...
But now I have it bookmarked, it's a little faster.

I have it bookmarked, but I never use the bookmark. Too much trouble to find it, since it's 3 levels down. Usually I type freewebspace.net and click the link from there.

It's easy to find in mine, since I only have 5 entries in my bookmarks :)

If you had it organized you wouldn't need to type it in :D
The purpose of a bookmark is to find something quickly without you having to remember the url or actually typing it in.

For me, the purpose of a bookmark is more often to have a record of the existence of an interesting site that I otherwise wouldn't remember in a week. I have probably a couple hundred bookmarks in various subcategories. It's not that I ever actually use most of them, just for some reason I like to know that I could return to any useful/interesting place if I wanted to. If I like a site, I bookmark it and stick it somewhere. It's probably based on a sort of paranoia about the possibility of suddenly needing something from a site I saw weeks ago and not remembering how to get there.

I could get to my freewebspace.net forums bookmark (which is in my "message boards" folder) within a few seconds, but I still find it easier to just type in the URL.

So organized, that you need to look throughout a bunch of folders to find it... and I am lazy so I just type it in. :D

I just type www.f and then the URL shows up (www.freewebspace.net/forums)

I used to type the whole thing in, then after a while I started doing what Mandrake's doing. It's always up there. :D

But gyrbo, you have Telenet, you shouldn't have problems with fast loading

Me too. I hate starting pages.

I remember Homepageware software...

I deleted it after I found the wonders of "about:blank" being your startpage.
