I might be able to host you with 1GB diskspace and 15GB bandwidth in exchange of banner ads. Just drop me a PM if you are interested. By the way, Flames of Recca is a licensed anime so you can't host that anime.

What type of media are we talkin about here?
We could give you 30GB bandwidth and 2GB space... as long as it is legal :tongue2:

I don't know if you are into anime, but probably the latest episodes of Naruto and Bleach, both of which are perfectly legal since they aren't liscenced.^_^

Still, they're media. They'll kill the server.

If its just the hosting of the torrents, I think it will be okay. I might be able to work something with you if that's the case. I am currently hosting several high-traffic websites so I might be able to help you out here.

Just curious, but is it true that if the English version of anime is not officially licensed (picked up for translation), that makes it legal to post fan translations for download online?
If it is, I'm just wondering if this would apply to manga as well.

Actually it was the mediahosting I was looking for. I don't need much besides a gig or two and alot of bw. Not alot of people donwnload from my site, they only come for news and interaction. If you want, I can put my site on another host, and only put the media on your site. If any one can do that please reply, if not I guess I'll stick to torrents.

Yes, they are both true, as long as you are in America, you can let people download media from other countries with fan translation. Manga works as well too. You can see something similar by going to some German sites and finding some products that we pay for free there. They say in their disclaimer that no one from the Us can download it,because they are American products.

Only about 10 people download something so it shouldn't be that bad, I need someone who can do this ASAP.

So far I don't know, is there anyone with a dedicated server that has aroun 500 gig of bandwidth they can give?
I only need like 2 gigs of space. I know it's alot to ask but someone if giving it to me free. Because he has unlimited bandwidth. If someone else can do this for me I'd be very grateful.

You realise that basically any type of media works are protected by Copyright laws? This would also include Japanese Animation, thus distribution of unlicenced anime is indeed illegal. The only reason why people have issues with licenced anime, rather than unlicenced, is because once it it licenced, then the US will start chasing you :) ... where as unlicened ... the Japanese don't bother yet ... but they claim the Copyrights to the works.

Unlicenced anime may not attract any legal issues for the mean time, though anime such as the mentioned Naruto and Bleach tend to result in alot of traffic.

Please don't quadruple post. It's like 10^100 times worse than double posting! Spamming won't get you a host any sooner, dude. Please learn to have some manners and drop the rudeness.
Also, 500 GIGS? Are you CRAZY?

I doubt your host has unlimited bandwidth since there's no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. He may have a lot of bandwidth but there's still a limit.

Just another post by those who don't understand.
Copyright is infringed dependant on availability to the country of production - WWW = world wide so not on.
arcanimedotcom - does anyone have a plan close to what I want for $10 or less?
Now it's a paid request, if you could pay why not say in the first place you tight git. :shame:
TitaniumHosting - I can give you a Gig of space and 10 gigs of transfer for $8.99/mo in a free forum section your making paid offers - tut tut :shame:
Me thinks moving this and splitting it or just binning it may be an option here. :rolleyes2

Yeah -- it's getting messy all right -- but the requester kind of brought it on himself by asking for paid hosting half-way through the thread. If I "split" the thread, neither thread is going to make any sense. Let's just close this thread here, and if he wants to request paid hosting, he can start another thread in the Paid Hosting forum.
