Ive been working with geocities, but everytime i upload a template it does not read the HTML. Basically im saying...please sombody tell me a bit of what i need to learn and where to learn it. first switch from geos to some other free host.
50mb/1gb will be enough for you to develop your html skills

Now do you have some website alredy up that you could show? Would be easier as we'd see how well you do and could suggest some stuff.

Overally I'd suggest picking up a book or two about html and php.
And if you have the $, get photoshop and start doing some tutorials and stuff.
The key here is practice, practice and a ----load more of practice. :)

http://thor.prohosting.com/phogclan/images/image_18_2.jpg

in the place where you uploaded your index.html file, do you have a images folder with image_18_2.jpg in it?

this is were it has to be.

hey, at least he kept the copyright and dosnt claim its his design

You might want to take a look at Jasc Paint Shop Pro.
It's cheaper then Photoshop. It's what I started with.

yeah, ive been looking at those two right now. im currently working on www.freewebs.com/musicwebdesign as a "building" project and insert things as i learn. None of the links work at the time..havnt had time to insert anything, but it will come soon enough. O and the top logo was from a free logo site place...forgot the URL.

also for Paint Shop, which one would you reccommend? The web one or Paint Shop pro 9?
