i wanted to have free hosting for email only. I need at least 5 email accounts.
I already have a host and a .com domain name. Now, my host don't provide their own smtp server. I don't have any local ISP to be used for outgoing mail server. Are there any host that can provide their own smtp server for free? Advertisements, banners, text links, is OK since I won't use the webhosting feature anyway.
Thank you

This is not an endorsement -- but I remember this one has come up regularly in earlier threads:
http://www.everyone.net/
Be forwarned -- their free service has lots of banners and popups.

You're right. The "free" service is only available to
. . . sites and media companies with a large and dedicated North American audience.
For your small site, they would charge $9.99/month. Sorry.

Even I want a free hosting with an ability to provide email to my customers. I already got a php script to do that. All I need is a large amount of space and a large amount of bandwidth. Can anyone over here can provide it for free. I repeat 'free'.

Actually I will be providing free email. By customers I mean that they can upgrade to paid service. If I get payments (I am not sure) I will pay you for the hosting.
I don't know how much space or bandwidth I will need. It will all depend on the signups for the email. But I am thinking of giving a 25 MB milbox as free service. What do you think about it? I am also thinking to provide chat, auction and a directory.

May I know what is your email speciality compared with others such as yahoo, hotmail, especially Gmail?
25MB compared with 1000MB? Dont you think customer would rather choose Gmail?

Yes Its true But can you provide me with so much of space for free?
Or just think of yahoo surviving with 100mb space

We have free hosting 500MB space 5GB Bandwidth with PHP & MySQL, require only small text link or 1 referal of paid customer to us, read my signature for more information, when we say 5GB bandwidth for free, it really mean 5GB, we don't lie about bandwidth allowance.
Ya, i can give you pop3 mail boxes accessible through outlook express and/or email forwarding.
