Hey everyone!

URL: http://www.mastersites.com/

First of all, the reason for posting this message is because of the design of our site, not the services we offer. Of course any comments on that are welcome as well, but not appropriate for this forum category. :)

We've worked quite a bit on our layout and I'm just wondering how easy it is for other people to navigate. For us it's very organized and well linked together, but that may be because we're familiar with our site!

The site was also made for 800/600 using IE and we're wondering how it looks in other browsers/resolutions since we haven't had time to test them all.

Any comments would be great! :) And I'd also like to know what your first impressions were when viewing the site because that's very important for a web hosting company.

The layout itself is nice. It's a simple site that loads fast, which is a good thing. The only construction critisism i can give is maybe add a little more color other than black & white.

Me likes too. B&W feeling is nice. Just one thing - the backgrounds on your images are speckled. Maybe transparent GIFs would do for most of them. Not many colors.

Thanks for all the replies so far! :)

My weakness in making sites is obviously the graphics, but I think I'll try meow's advice with the transparent gifs.

Thanks again!

Wow, finally found my old post (had to use the search feature because there are so many posts in this category  )

Anyway, I just figured I'd update this topic because I spent the last few weeks redesigning Master Sites.

Any suggestions now? Personally, I think it's much better than the old layout, for those that remember it.

The site works fine in IE5 and 1024x768.

It looks a little dull and colorless, and there is no prominant logo or image that represents the site. Try making a relatively small logo that uses an unusual font or something. I like the popout menus though...

Try changing the page background to a perfect white and making the information/date cells a light grey or another light color.

Overall the navigation is well done and the information given is well explained :)
