Please help with loops in flash

I am trying to make my movie clip in flash loop only three times...can someone please help me out with this?

you need some dynamic text box hidden from the stage. and a little actionscript. see my attachment, im kinda kind today :)

thanks so much!! Just one more question though...that seems to work if you are doing all the graphic within the scene, but if you are working with movie clips and then import the movie clip into the main scene it doesn't work? Am i doing something wrong?

you gotta apply what I did in your movie clips. just analyze the code a little and edit them to fit your movie clip.

Something is still wrong - I attached a file that I had done and have no idea what I am doing wrong...can you help?

I can't open your file, I only have MX, you might be using MX 2004

your sample works for me, it stops after 3 loops. what is happening with yours?

Well, I figured out what it was... for some reason it doen't work in MX 2004...but when i save it for only MX it work perfectly!! Excellent then!! Thanks so much for your help!!
