hey, say I had some site at www50.brinkster.com/djjoejoe or angelfire or whatever and I wanted to be hosted by some site. Would I need to buy a domain like .com or something or could I just transfer all my files/pages to the new server?

For some you'd need a domain, but for others just transfer files to a new server....oh yeah, nice try ;)

Many hosts will offer you a subdomain plan.
Are you interested in subdomain hosting?

yeah, a sub-domain wouldn't be too bad. Why? Could you offer me something?
