Hi i don't know if i am posting this in the right section but i just want to ask how do u set up your own webhosting server? I have a 1mb broadband connection, pentium 4 3.0ghz and 120gb hdd.

Not a good idea, why? Because most broadband connection blocks port 80, which is the default port for httpd protocol. There's really no point in doing so.
Just 1. collocate your server at a datacenter, 2. get shared/dedicated server.

Most broad band only blocks port 25, not 80. If you need any more assistance contact me at sales@webmediasystems.net or the system admin at webmediaspecialties@msn.com

lol, The router blocks 80, the ISP blocks 25. You can get around 80. Not 25, lol.

So far i have installed Apache, php, perl and asp. But im stuck and don't know what to do next.

Are you having a static ip? if so you just have to be in the net and direct to that ip
If you dont have one, ask your ips to give/allot you one
Also some dedicated ip

Well i'm connected through a Cable/Dsl router, think ill have to do some port forwarding?

yes, forward port 80 to your server or where the site will be hosted.
