I don't know if this is exactly what you mean but I have three domains with them so far and I know that unless I do it then no one can change my domains from them to someone else. Plus I did a who is search on my domains and my info comes up. I hope that helps you.

Seems like WhoisGuard is a special feature from NameCheap.com.

If your meaning a company that keeps your information safe, another words they register your domain name but to include your personal information then a lot of hosts do that. Other than domain lock to where only you can change it to another host company is the only things like that I know of.

OK. I see what he is asking. Yes, PrivacyGuard is available at other domain registrars (Not Hosts). Enom offers it and so does GoDaddy. Not sure about 1AND1.

It's not a big deal, I want to register some other domains at 1and1 with some privacy guard on (willing to pay the extra money). If they don't have it I guess I could jump over to namecheap (their whoisguard is free for one year) instead.
