View Full Version : President Bush worst approval ratting!!

Haha, I knew bush was to stupid to be our president. He's got the lowest approval rating in the presidental history.

Giancarlo
June 22nd, 2001, 23:05
It is about 56%. That is not low, straighten your facts for once.

Johnny, for some reason i get the feeling you are looking for a dispute.

Giancarlo

The GOP just gain more in the House of Representatives, Johnny. The GOP and the President's Approval Rating has gone up actually.

Which rating are you looking at? Some collage poll? I say the 3 polls on NYTimes and they all are under 40%. I would scan it if i had a scanner.

Giancarlo

NYTimes = Liberal.
I am looking at that one that always takes these opinions, Gallup...

Gayowulf

Why would 2 polls be so different?

Giancarlo
June 22nd, 2001, 23:16
There would be no way his approval rating would be below 40%, 50% of Americans are Republicans. I would trust the Gallup poll instead... but all polls are misleading since they are on 1,000 or so people. + or - 40% margin of error, in my opinion. They are worth for crap.

because polls are not always accurate. let's say in one poll, x% of the sample space may be republican, and let's say 100-x% is the democrats. x is not always 50.

i'd like to add that some people don't know any better, because they watch that comedy crap on TV and they can't understand fact from fiction. some polls are screwed up because of that.

Giancarlo
June 23rd, 2001, 10:31
Not to mention 950 of 1000 are Democrats, if it was out of a 1000. The Gallup Insitution usually does a mix of two areas... so they should be trusted a tad bit more.

LeX

Depends on how the poll was taken.

Giancarlo
June 23rd, 2001, 10:53
No way these polls can be accurate anyways, 1,000 people won't tell the approval rating of an entire nation.

WorldWarGeneral
June 23rd, 2001, 11:01
1000 people is a very bad sample for a poll. I think Bush has done an okay job since he got in. I probably would have voted for Gore though. (it was Bush's "faith-based" charity thing that swung me towards Gore. I'm a firm believer in the seperation of church and state)

I sure hope Bush moves foward with Missle Defense. Let the Russians build their own if they're so "threatened"

Giancarlo

That Faith base intiative was one of the few things I was against. I am for National Missle Defence.

What do you know about US Politics?
Bush is a good man, and people actually smartened up and he was elected by twelve different recounts that all went his way. He won the seat of Presidency fair and square and is doing a good job maintaining this country.

Technics

Since the USA is always trying to proof its the biggest and richest and most powerful country in the world we get US politics shoved down our throats in the UK. Since Tony Blair (our prime minister) seems to kiss whoever is in charge of ur countrys butt.

I never judged him, Afterall he cant do much worse than our government. But if you guys arent happy with him all you can do is sit wait till the next election and vote someone new in. No doubt you will not like him once hes in but thats life.

Giancarlo
June 23rd, 2001, 17:33
I think he might be elected to a second term, that is my prediction. He is doing his job very well. Most Americans do like him, most opinion polls are between 55-60% depending where they are taken. That is about average for most Presidents.

Johnny is one of 20-25% that do not like Bush out there, who want to do everything to make sure he doesn't succeed in his wonderful programmes.

niv

there are some things I like about bush, then there are some things I dont like about Bush. I remain close to neutral, as I think he's doing a fairly decent job.

Ozy
June 23rd, 2001, 19:25
What do you think a poll is? Especially one that is done by a reputable organization. You think that they send Billy to the street to ask a couple of hundreds of people that are passing by and then they get the percentage with a simple divition? It's a whole science and usually they are accurate plus or minus 3-4%.

Now, Bush is an idiot periot. If Americans voted him because he promised tax cuts (so indirectly paid them to vote for him) is another story.

Giancarlo
June 23rd, 2001, 19:32

The guy doesn't even know how to talk !!! No wonder you like him. You both talk ----. Good thing that there are fanatics that can't see straight and they like Bush and they make him feel smart. And good thing your momy and dady tell you that you are smart and make you feel good about yourself, because everybody else can see that you are a total idiot.
As for me, English is not my first language so spelling mistakes mean nothing.

will you stop with the negative garbage? at least bush is smart enough to gain the presidency. if you're saying things like this, you apparently don't know any better.

Giancarlo, you know i'm not a republican, and i'm not a Bush-supporter, but i can't accept the fact that people believe that Bush is an idiot. it's despicable.

Ozy
June 23rd, 2001, 20:05
oh, so you think that Bush became president because he is smart? If he didn't had his father, connections and money you think he could still be president?
He had the right connections and people to push him. A total idiot is after all the perfect pupet for the big corporations that rule the US.

Anyways .. its your president. If you feel proud when you have Bush to represent your country... good for you

Giancarlo

You are coericied by the media.
Look, I don't know about my spelling but I can certainly speak in front of crowds (I did infront of school) and gave an charsmatic speech for the people leaving infront of 200 people. Bush does it while a entire nation infact world is watching him... so I would like you to see you do that. You will be so lost in words, you will get egged by everyone. Bush is genius in his own areas, he knows Business and has several Business Degrees... unlike you do.

Oh, you can talk in front of 200 people? !! Oh, you must be sooo smart then. oh, I am sorry, I forgot you made 3 (three !!!) computers also !!! Oh my GOD !! You are also going to study economics !!!!!!!!! Hey, I admit it ... you must be a genius !!
(I am just kidding ... just wanted to make it clear because I am not sure you would understand it)

But you have a point. If the majority of the population is as smart as you are, then Bush is definitely a genius compared to you. He is smart enough so people like you can admire him, and stupid enough so people of your (low) mental level can think of him as one of your own.

Are you going to show me some crap you saw on the Tonight show with Jay Leno and say that that is the proof that Bush is an idiot? Sure, his tax cut wasn't the best idea, but haven't you realized that other republican presidents have done the same?

Ozy, how long have you been into american politics?

I've been into politics in general and even American politics long before you. Except if you liked politics since you were 2-3 years old. (I am a lot older that you, remember).
But to realize that Bush is an idiot you don't need to be into politics. Just not being stupid yourself is more than enough.
Jay Leno and so many others were making fun of Clinton because of those scandals because he was obviusly not the most faithful guy in the world, and now they make fun of Bush because he is obviusly not the smartest person around.
But as i said before I don't care. If you like him and you want Bush to represent you and feel proud to say "This (Bush) is a good example of the most inteligent people that US can produce" good for you.
I've been to the US and I know that the country has a lot of very educated and smart people. But for somebody that has never been there and listens to your president talking I am sure he will think: "If this guy is their president, I can imagine how idiots the people of his country are"
A president should be elected because of his own abilities. Bush became what he became because of his father, conections and money. But .. if you like him .... good for you. Go Bush Junior !!!

WorldWarGeneral
June 24th, 2001, 09:18
I think the reason most people think Bush is stupid is because of the Saturday Night Live stuff, and all the late night "comedy" shows. Despite what you say, Ozy, you have no reason to say Bush is stupid. Maybe he doesn't always say stuff quite right, but that doesn't make him an idiot. Who hasn't meant to say one thing, but something else just came out? And no, Bush didn't get elected because he has money. He got elected because he had policy ideas that people seemed to like. (despite the fact that he didn't get the popular vote, but that's another issue entirely.)

I suppose some people really believe Gore's plan was to put the surplus into a lockbox...

atlas
June 24th, 2001, 11:04
The "lockbox" idea was actually unconstitutional -- it would have impaired the Congress in future years by moving some of its rights over to the executive branch of the goverment.

Bush is smart, period. The liberal media wants you to think otherwise and there doing a great job of it.

I was listening to a Paul Harvey show once and he described this military man that would memorized entire maps, schematics, even baseball stats for players entire careers and then recite them flawlessly. That was Bush. People think he's dumb the because he's not a good public speaker. If he can remeber all those technicalities, I think he can memorize a short speech, he just can't recite do it in public. And when he went to college, his dad was a mere junior congressmen, so he wasn't pulling many ropes for him. I'm so sick of people that say that.

Secondly, I'm opening a conservative based news site soon, and I'm still looking for people to write articles, and this seems like a good time to ask :). If you might be interested e-mail me at sianews@neo.rr.com for more details.

First, i never said I can run a country or that I am able to do such thing right now.(in the right way) Unfortunatly you are mistaken if you think that Bush is actually running something.
The policies are given to him, most of the speaches are prepared for him, he has a ton of advisors to tell him what to say and how to react, people that tell him what to wear and when he should smile etc. In this way even you could be president !! All presidents use most of these things, but most of them at least have an opinion (their own not what is given to them), and they can affect in some degree the policies. I don't think Bush is smart enought to do that.
I can not be a president now, and I will never be able to be a president because I would never be willing to sucrifice any of my principles and beliefs in order to get the money and support of the big corporations. Bush (and probably you) are perfect for this job. Not much brains, thirst for power, all it really matters is money .... the perfect pupets.

Giancarlo
June 25th, 2001, 20:09
Bush is smart enough to run the country and get the support of at least 1/2 or more of the American Population according to most reliable polls. Bush is smart enough to implement important strategic policies and deals. And if you don't think he is smart enough look at Gore, whose corruption during his campagin will start to show in a few months. Additionally, if you still don't think he is smart enough, you ought to get your head examined, he is a hell of a lot smarter than you are.
