Hey guys, I need to install mysql on linux, anyone got good tutorials, or better yet, know how and could help me?
I tried googling some, but I didn't find anything useful :/

Try http://www.rpmfind.net search for mysql and use 'rpm -Uvh filename.rpm' in a shell :) once uploaded. (assuming it's a redhat flavour)

I use FreeBSD, so I use the porting system (similiar to RPM for redhat, but more advanced).
You can check out http://www.linuxguruz.com/z.php?id=31 , it shows you how to download MySQL (Source), extract (untar), and compile it.

All the FreeBSD guys say that ;p
I always wanted the time to get more into FreeBSD it is a great *NIX type system

On a serious note, I would def. give FreeBSD a chance, it's an awesome OS with very little issues.

Already doing 18 hours a day 7/365, I'll try and squeeze it in somewhere though. Tried several time but 'things' get in the way!!
