Rapper to take down drug lords in first video-game appearance.

That made me laugh (and cry after), seriously. They'r gonna be in video games now. Gimme a break...

On Friday, video-game developer Vivendi Universal announced its plans to release "50 Cent: Bulletproof," the rapper's first foray into the world of interactive entertainment, later this year, just in time for the 2005 holiday shopping season.

[...]

"I'm out to destroy the competition and my video game is no different. It's a fantasy version of my life. I plan to shake up the video-game world like I did the rap world"

I can so see a bunch of moronic teens rushing into walmart... Pathetic
When will we see 50Cent bubblegum?

I'll bet Donald Trump will release a video game version of his life next.

The idea makes me more than sad. If selling out exists in rap, i would assume that this would fall in that category.

that made my day.

rap is like based on selling out.

rap is like based on selling out.

I'd say it's safe to expand that to include pop culture in general. Look at all the starlet actresses expanding into "music" or starlet "musicians" expanding into film. I honestly hope they expand into porn next because some of those girls really do deserve a frosted coating.

That being said, you have no idea how much my life has improved since I threw my TV out of a 4th storey window in a fit of alcoholic rage. (ok, well it wasn't my TV, or a fit of alcoholic rage. But gravity certainly does it's job well)

Let me guess...you win the game by getting shot in the leg and then telling the world you really got shot 9 times in the face, and go on to make millions in the rap game.

by the way..."frosted coating"? Best term ever.

What I find more amusing than a criminal making millions, is the fact this "tough" guy doesn't go anywhere without a bullet-proof vest.

The Australian government were refusing him entry, unless he didn't wear one.

God I hate rap...

Knowing stuff like this is happening provokes me even more. What's even more sad is that some people approve of this.

I hate the world that I live in.

Let's all rewind back to 1990 when rap lyrics still somehow made sence without this gangsta rap garbage, gangsta wannabees, white pussies running after black ----s, wiggers, and all that crap that exists nowadays.

Times are changing folks, and not for the best

Let me just represent the hip hop community for a second (though I'm in no way qualified to do so)...there is a lot of excellent hip hop out there, so let's not all go lumping the good stuff in with 50 Cent and Ja Rule, aight? aight.

Agreed... There are quality underground hip-hop artists who are staying true to the game, and still have proper rhymes... Like Jurassic 5, they are good.

Yeah, I love Jurassic 5, and k-os. And the Streets...though I don't know if they necessarily count.

The Streets are awesome, well maybe not "A Grand Don't Come For Free" so much, but its still ok. I would consider them to be more Alternative/Dance rather than hip-hop. Also, a shout out to Beastie Boys, The Roots, Ozomatli and Lyrics Born...

As with everything else, mainstream just blows the big one.

Ever since Ed the Sock's Fromage 2004, all I can think of when I see the Beastie Boys is Benny Hill.
