How to start os from other hard disk ...........

Dear all,

I have 2 hard disk one with win 2k (20 gb) and other with Win XP(40 GB).I have installed Win XP in second hard disk from first hard disk (means from win 2k os running on i st hard disk).so the book record of win xp was written in first hard disk.

Now i want to Run win XP from 2 nd hard disk alone Without connecting 1 st hard disk on which boot sector was written.


Can you help me?????????

I'm not sure I am understanding everything you are saying, but from what I gather you could probably boot an OS without a boot sector if you use a boot disk.
