I thought St Patrick's Day was just another reason to get smashed. Last year, all my mates were drunk by 1pm... We stayed at the pub till like 11.30pm and started at 12pm, when it opened. Being a non-drinker, it wasn't that fun for me, except seeing people spend $150-200 each on beer/wine.

I'm with you on that one.

I had to work tonight bartending, and somehow I ended up drunk at the end of the night (now) as well.

I was mixing and serving martinis through this green ice sculpture of a martini glass, and people kept buying my one. I'd refuse but somehow a drink'd end up in me hand. It;s the irish heritage, I tell you

A guy was doing Guinness samples at work yesterday, and I kept taking some, until finally he just started giving me full pints. It didn't get me drunk, but it was a good head start on the drinking that occured later on.

Ah, St Patrick's Day :classic2:

Unfortunately it fell on a Thursday night and I work on Fridays. But we went out anyway, got home at 3.15am, slept until 6.15am and I went to work. Didn't get to bed on Friday night until well past midnight. So yea.. I was wrecked! Ah, the good old falling over and being gluggy for half the morning at work due to slightly still being a bit drunk ;).
