Am I the only one who enjoys their music? Their album must be one of the very few out there that I like every song (Five For Fighting is another one).

I hadn't heard them until just recently, and can't say that I am at all impressed.
The tunes are somewhat catchy, however to me they just sound like any other one-hit-wonder out there.
Just my two cents though.

I hope not. But if they do, this album kicks butt anyways, so I'm sure I'll survive.

yeah, their latest album does seem rather popular.
I don't get it, but mind you I never have.

I honestly don't understand why you even waste our time by posting here, Dean.

Robert, are 'Five for Fighting' still around. Like have they put out a new album recently?
I remember them from years and years ago, but thought they had long since stopped making music.

FFF released an album back in 2004 (The Battle for Everything), which truely rocks!
Before that, I use to listen to Superman from them.

Hmm. I have lots of albums that I enjoy listening to in entirety.

I like it until I realize it's Maroon 5, then I say "oh, right, I hate this song." But Five for Fighting is good.

Whenever I hear my little sisters listening to Maroon 5, it makes me wanna bang my head against the wall. I hate boring slow pop music, especially bands with guy lead signers that sound like a girl.
But hey, that's just me.

I'm not really a fan of either, but I do think Five for Fighting is the greatest name ever and I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it first.

That's kind of stupid. If you like a song, you like a song. Who cares who sings it?
I don't mind Maroon 5. I think they're just too everywhere, though. You turn on the radio and you're guaranteed to hear one of their songs. They're one of those bands who would be 'cooler' if they hadn't gotten so popular, know what I mean?

All I can say is that I'd be pissed if my name was Jane. If someone was going to write a song about me, I'd want it to be hardcore death-metal, not poofter rock.
when I first heard a couple of their songs, I was impressed. Then I got tired of hearing them on the radio all the time.
And then I saw their music video, and I instantly lost all respect (I am heavily prejudiced against metros, or anyone who can't pick which team to bat for)
I looked into some of the band's pre-maroon 5 stuff, and I liked it. (they called themselves Kara's Flowers which is definately "alternative", if you know what I mean. I mean seriously. who the hell cares about Kara's Flowers? (unless by flowers they mean boobs.)

Hmmm. They must of got sick of Kara and moved onto Jane.
Whenever I hear "Five For Fighting" it always remids me of some boy band song they released a few years ago, luckily it is out of my system, coz I can't remember it. Same with Creed, Live, POD and Three Doors Down songs... :)
I think the best band name going around is "Eagles of Death Metal", awesome crisp clean rock and roll too. The way music is supposed to be, plus the drummer is from Queens of Stonneage, which is a bonus.

Sif, three doors down seriously kick it. What a great band. Especially 'The Better Life' and 'Down Poison'. my God. What absolutely sexy songs.

i don't mind (or listen to) top40 radio nemore.. what scares me is i know more songs on the local oldies station (104.3!!!) than i do on like a top40 station.. i discovered j-music about 2 years ago now.. and i can't stop listening to it.. that and it also seems to be helping me in japanese...
however, top40 radio is a good way to wake one's self up because i really can't stand the music and dj's sometimes, so i set my alarm to one of those top40 stations, and i'm forced to wake up to turn the damn thing off... foolproof plan..

LOL.. Everyone listens to Gold FM, just nevers admits it. I'm proud of you listening to JJJ.. Don't you just love "today today"? i had to stop listening to that on public transport, coz i couldn't stop myself from laughing and have ppl stare at me. Chris and Craig are so gonna be the new merrick and rosso, but even funnier.
Oh, and go Myf's trashy lunchtime quiz!!!
