Thanks for the continuing messages. I've looked on the web hosting sites that Martie suggested. There is a lot out there. E-commerce seems like where I want to be. I sent long mails to the people at instabill and revecom. Thanks donovan. Revecom got right back. I liked their site, clear and to the point. But it isn't clear whether they offer webhosting. Instabill presentation was clear, but I haven't herd anything. Isent a rather desciptive email of hat I wanted. Maybe too much?

I'm getting the feeling that even though I wanted to go with one company to provide all the services of hosting, merchant accounts, design assistance and search engine ranking assistance, that it may be better to rely on different companies.
Most of the companies that appeared on hostsearch.com were pretty standard in their merchant account offerings 2.35%. In fact the same info could be found on several sites. It seems that although they offer merchant account assistance they are mainly webhosts.
In terms of just getting a domain, anyone know anything about Netfirms?

I also joined webhostingtalk.com. This seems to be very similar to this site. Lots of the same people and the signup format was almost exactly the same. Any connection?

Thanks.

Well, many of the members here hang out at WHT as well. So you can see many similar names. :D Including me. :)

Mostly, I guess that it isn't that complicated to get all the services you want, from one web host. Maybe for a higher fee, one should fullfill your requirements. But have you ever thought of this, what if the company, you are using all the services, isn't a good company? Or maybe, not that good as expected, and you wish to switch company. It might be more complicating than using different company as you are moving everything to a different company.

However, getting services from different company, like for example, joined Revecom.com for merchant account, and signed up with someone else for web hosting. And maybe sign up for a few other sites for the tools you need. If you just got fed up with any of them, simply switch and it won't take a lot of work because you are just moving a small part of the big cake.

I won't really suggest you to head for one web host to get everything that you need unless you did a good research and know exactly the host you are choosing is definitely a very reliable one.

By the way, Revecom.com isn't a web host, they only offer merchant accounts and maybe something else related to e-commerce. Some web hosts might be affilates for some other e-commerce company. So you might get the same info because they are providing you the services from a same company.

About netfirms, I was once one of their users, and don't really like their services. But that's a long story, so things might change. I suggest you ask Netfirms in Free Web Hosting Section as they are generally a free web host.

Well, everything I said just my little opinions. Please don't flame me if I am wrong. ;)
