I think i've asked this before, but i'm really at a loss here...

What's up with this? My computer is like, dying after having only been running for an hour or so, 2 hours maybe if i'm lucky.

Everything just stops working. I can't run any programs because it gives me an out of memory message, and the things I am running... start getting distorted and sort of, 'missing bits'; if that makes sense.

All it takes is to open a few IE windows, or maybe just Photoshop or Dreamweaver, and then it all goes to hell...

I've got 128ram, and I formatted the computer only a few days ago...

What o' what is causing this, and how can I stop it???

It's really odd/frustrating, because I remember on my old crappy computer, I never had any problems like this. Hm... maybe I should put Win95 back on... heh.

Figure out the programs, drivers and services that start with the computer. Usually you have stuff you don't actually need or use.

I had the same headache. Go to Control panel -> System -> Rapidity? (the last folder) -> Virtual memory -> Check the RECOMMENDED radio button. After that all will be OK
