How come I don't hear much about angelfire? I think that they are one of the best hosts right now. They dont support cgi or asp or stuff like that but their never down. And they support SSI.

And their pop ups aren't that annoying if you always keep one pop up open. They wont open another pop up if you already have one open.

not sure what they do now, but they used to have strange stp setups. So, can you upload all files by ftping? Or you have to upload a file to a certain directory, and then wait for them to be moved to your directory?

The last time I checked, Angelfire had standard FTP.

back a few years ago, it was anonymous ftp upload into a /incoming folder, and then use the Account tools to tranfer the file into your account... during that time, anybody could see the files.. pretty interesting.. :)

now... you log into ftp.angelfire.com with your folder name /il5/me, and your password... it puts you into your folder, and you can do whatever...

a lot of people use Angelfire, as they have a lot of space... you can choose what type of ads.. banner or popup. no cgi, ssi, or anything special, though

they have ftp and a browser upload.
you can upload your files directly to your web space.

their ftp works most of the time, they were updating it a while back and was down for some people but the browser uploads were always up.

you can use ssi and they have some cgi that you can choose from. Their not that good though
