I recieved this in a email from my friends:

Important Warning:

Please be extremely careful especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning from Microsoft and Norton. Please warn everybody you know who accesses the Internet.

You may receive an apparently harmless email with a PowerPoint presentation "Life s beautiful.pps". If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately. If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: "It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful", subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. WE NEED TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO STOP THIS VIRUS. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus Software's are not
capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself "life owner".

PLEASE PASS THIS ON

I don't know why people would read or open an e-mail attachment from an unknown sender. Thanks for the warning.

I smell a hoax.

Infact I even searched it and Symantec even confirms it's a hoax.

None the less you should never open up a attachment unless you know for certain what it is.

Hmm, yeah it's probably a hoax... a joke or a weird attempt to bring awareness of unknow attachment from a stranger.

Yeah well, the macro viruses are still around you know... they will never die.

Once in a while, I contemplate the Melissa Virus stuff... macros can be used for just about anything nowadays. :P

who even opens PowerPoint files anyway? Even if they were legit, they tend to hang or crash the computer
