i know my demands aren't going to be met by a free host so should i go for it? it's a very reputable company, they've been around for a long while. it's $10 bucks a month, and they offer:
unmetered space* and bandwidth**
flexible DNS settings i.e MX records, etc.
unmetered subdomains
unmetered POP3 boxes
.htaccess and .htpasswd (heh, i'd rather use PHP to create a security system)
Telnet/SSH/FTP 24/7
scripting features:
C++
PHP (both CGI and Apache module)
Perl 5
Python
SSI
CGI-BIN (DUH)
unix features:
unlimited MySQL dbs*
availability of all unix commands
access to raw logs + webalizer
other stuff:
web-based control panel
SSL if needed
* starts with 125 MB
** to a point. if they find out that i'm using it for illegal uses [according to them, i.e file archives, porn (:o like i'd do that), etc.]
*** starts with 1
what do you guys think? i'm not planning on spending anymore of my time waiting for a free host that's never going to exist.
