Besides efreeservers.com, does anyone else know of cheap bandwidth? And do you have to have bandwidth with efreeservers.com to get a free server?

yes...that is the whole point of efreeservers' business...You buy the bandwidth!

They're not just gonna give servers away for absolutly nothing...what kind of a business practice is that?

their bandwidth rates are quite cheap...the chea[est i've seen anywhere...only draw back, the 20 month contract...you own the server at 20 months.

Hold up!!!

I made a mistake about efreeservers.com...There is no 20 month contract...It's a month to month contract. 400 bucks for 400 GB of bandwidth. $1.00/GB.

"...Plus our co-location bandwidth packages are based on month-to-month contract, so there are no long-term commitments to worry about and all bandwidth prices are guaranteed for a period of one (1) year from the start date."

There is a 20 month contract. You pay $299/month for 20 months and you get 200Gb of transfer/month. After the 20 months are up, they can send the server to you, another place where you want to colocate it, or they can colocate it with them. If you Bail out of the contract before 20 months are up, you have to pay the full cost of the server that they show on their front page.

Matt, that's not the case if you already have your own server...If you have your own server, you can co-locate it with efreeservers.com for 400 bucks for 400 GB, on a monthly basis. There are no long term contracts.

The 20 month contract is only for their dedicated server 200 GB for 300 bucks. Then, the server is yours after 20 months.

At least this is what I gather from their website. I have not contacted any sales rep.

It would be better, if you contact a sales rep to get more clarified info.
