In respect of software companies I purchase all of my games. Pirating is very, very bad... and if you have a network that does that, I will report you to the authorities. It is illegal.

Because, when you pay for something, you subconciously think that you must get the most out of it. After all, you did spend some money on it. If something is pirated, that feeling subsides.

I am sure u guys must pirate something, becoz if not why u always lookiing and asking for good warez sites? also evilahaze u must do it or else how would u know about ftp having them?

Haze
June 27th, 2001, 04:55
I used to do warez years ago. Its common knowledge that a lot of warez sites make available FTP lists.

No, pirated games aren't as of good quality as the original. This is true.

Unless you copy the original CD. Then there is no difference. CS works fine for me. :)

I had Quake 3 on my computer a long time ago. It was a great game. And all of a sudden my CD key wouldn't work. So, I deleted it. But now I am considering buying Quake 3. If I just played the demo I don't think I would buy it.

Actually, burned CDs are more of what I'm really referring to. The quality just isn't the same. And it may harm the lens of your CD rom or PS, whatever.

Hi Giancarlo,

What do you know about Communist? I think is a country like Argentina, people are fooled by the government and media. What you hear and what you see are what government and media want you see and hear.

Do I have the correct impression? Or have I been misled by the media?

Coolin

How is the quality worse? That just doesn't make sense.

ya if its an iso (exact copy of the original CD) then there shouldn't ban any differnce at all

may screw up the lense of your cd-rom? where did you here that from?

Personally, I love warez because I have found that the full version that I have downloaded off of warez sites (which is exactly the same as the real one) which really suck ---. For example, the program "Swift3D" which retails for $139.00 to $295.00, I found to really suck. It never did what i wanted it to do and the gui sucked. So that is the main reason why i don't bust $139 plus s+h to get a ---- program.

Now does anyone agree with me???

I am not Argentine. I am Spanish-American. I lived in the US for nine years of my life, and I get CNN International here and been watching the leftist media for quite a while. They are wrong with many things. Communists are traitors to the United States and Democracy, they don't understand how democracy actually works. They want tyranny. I am a Republican McCarthyist.

Sure, the files are the same, but the difference is when you're reading the CD... for instance, my CD player (at least 8 years old) can't read burned CDs, but it can easily find tracks on original CDs. Same goes for PS and DC too. Pirated (burned) CDs takes forever to load, but it takes way less time with original CDs. That's the quality I'm talking about. And original CDs last longer.

I heard that from a lot of people. I'm not sure, though, which is why I emphasized the "may".

sounds like a virtual cd drive is what you need :D

if cd-r wrecked your cd-rom then they wouldn't me much good for all those system backups - we all got them for

Ummm, that is not necessarily true. A pirated version of 3dsmax loads as fast as the original version. I know this as a fact. An for the quality, it is the same. If you take care of your pirated CDs, they can last just as long.

Take it from someone with experience.

LeX

Well, I guess it depends then. All the CDs I burned with my Yamaha CD burner aren't of as good quality as the original.

This is from my own experiences and my friends'. Pirated PS games load terribly slow compared to the original (there's a guy with a rich daddy in my class) when being read. And yes, it's tested on the same console. Also, these pirated discs are more, er, "fragile" than the original discs. The just don't last as long. We all take extreme care with the CDs, pirated or not, so don't get any ideas that we're mishandling 'em or something.

I'll repeat this again. This is completely from my own experiences and my friends'. I didn't read this anywhere or heard of it from anybody.

sounds like you need better cds then because I leave mine in stacks with no cases (verry bad care) and I have never had a singal problem with them unless the screwed up while burning or somthing

get memorex cd's there the best quality for the lowest price if you can get them in your area

sony and some other companys make good cds too but are a little more expensive

I totally agree with Zazoo. I have had the exact same experience. With 200 CDs (the really cheap ones too), there has never been a problem. None what so ever!

I only have one game that I play, High Heat Baseball 2000... I paid $10.00 for it. Other than that, my free time goes to working on my websites, and working on my house and yard. :)
