Hi my current URL is novahosting.co.uk, on april 4th i ordered a dedicated with someone called Hassan who works for servfast.net. He offered me a really good deal which had a $40 setup fee and $55 monthley payment, This was for a dedicated server. I paid him this on Apirl 4th and said i will recieve my server details within 48 hours, 6days passed and then instant messaged him what are my server details, his reply was i have not recieved payment please re send it even though he confirmed i paid him for it on Apirl 4th. He would also not give me a link to show my server details. I phoned paypal and they confirm that he recieved payment and paypal said to use the resolution center and which i did. I sent the value of $98 to hassan@servfast.net i talked to him on msn with nasrosb@hotmail.com. Today he said he was hacked and i was conned by some hacker? i don't think so he even still uses the same font and english. O yeah and i also want to add his username on this forum is something like CCHosting.
So please has anyone got any advice on what to do? my msn is johnny@johnnyd.co.uk
Thanks.

Advice? When will people learn that in the hosting business, cheap = !GOOD. I hope this is a lesson learned for you and everyone. If you want to be cheap, don't. It's not fair to your customers. $55/mo. for a server? Come on. Have some common sense. Ev1's lowest servers are $99/mo., obviously that tells you something if a server is for sell @ $55/mo.

Quite possible, but your best solution is PayPal Resolution center. Fight it hard I'd say. Also contact Servfast directly.

Just take a look at the Resolution Center & File a Compliant & ask for a refund.
I wouldn't recommend a legal action since it would cost you more than the cost of the Server itself. But if you really can spend the money, go forward & file a case.

I agree. Resolution Center will be the best possible way to fight. This is the same story that happed to one of my friend when he ruined his funds on www.meisam.net for cheap dedicated server. But thanks to Paypal resolution center for solving the issue. You too go for that and file a Compliant and do let us know what’s happening may be best advice is yet to come.
Best of luck.

You already said before you edited this post that he was employed by you. Whether or not he had the authority to do what he did is not the point. If a customer is scammed by one of your employees then surely your company is liable to compensate in full the people who were scammed. It is your responsibility to vet your employees and not just employ anyone who "has been asking for a job for ages"
You employed him, you compensate. How are customers to know they are being scammed when speaking to someone via an email account from your domain or on your sales chat.

LayeredTech have un-managed servers from 65$/month (without control panel) and they're a well respected company.
