Review: CheapHumor

I have not officially released my site as yet, but please let me know what you think. All features on the site are fully operational. feel free to test them out.

I have entirely coded the site in PHP from scratch and is not based upon any script. It is the result of 3 weeks design, development and testing. A bit of history for newbies to fws.net... in 2003 my site kinda dissapeared n i got bored with the concept, so now im reopening it soon which will allow me to practice programming (i'm learning programming in C as part of my 2yr IT course). previously the old site was based upon a HEAVILY modified version of a guestbook script with my then sloppy PHP coding (which did the job lol).

if anyone comes across any bugs or problems, please post here. 2 bugs have already been found and fixed.

it was designed in dreamweaver 4, graphics in photoshop 7, coded in homesite 5. tested in internet explorer 6, internet explorer 3 (win95) and firefox 1.0.2. I was really shocked with the level of compatibility with IE3. for those with browsers such as netscape 4 and 6 if you could post a screenshot of what the design appears as, that would be great. for pure enjoyment and laughs, i thought i'd post a screenshot of my site in IE3.0 under win95 :p

its a very nice script, but maybe change the colors, as since its a humor site, it not all that happy/funny.

the colors i used b4 i changed them were too overpowering. wen i get a chance i may fiddle with some.

This is why you should read the content warning on the main page before entering any parts of the site. personally i cnt c the difference between aussie (non aboriginal) jokes and jew jokes..

I discussed this with my webhost and they hav deemed racist jokes on my site to not be racially degrading. In their TOS they state that they do not host sites that are racially degrading. my site is not a kkk / whitepower site promoting the death of coloured people. i do not hail hitler or support what happened in the holocaust.

the racist joke section has been removed, however the jokes have been placed in the question / answer jokes section. y do that you ask? to demonstate that cheaphumor isnt promoting racism or hate. by having a section for it i guess it could be seen that way...thus its removal.
