I'm still using Photoshop 4. It's buggy though, so I'm gonna switch to Photoshop 6 once I clear up some disk space.

I use paintshop pro 7, animation shop 3, serif photoplus 5, photofinish 4.1, corel draw & photohouse & many more free/share ware (some of which r pretty crap).
My favourite must be paintshop pro 7, by far the most features and easy to use :)

The GIMP (gimp.org (http://www.gimp.org)) rulez, but it's very unstable... at least the windows version is (3 crashes p/minute), I don't have linux or whatever, so don't know about these versions... the windows version is an unofficial conversion I think

I tried the Gimp once! Windows. Didn't crach on me but there were stupid floating toolbars that mimized as soon as they lost focus. Also the program window itself wasn't possible to maximize. Should it be like that or was something wrong with my version?

No, that's right.... You get about 4 windows with tools (can't attach them) and you can't resize the windows....
but... "that mimized as soon as they lost focus," I'm not sure of. Never noticed that, but it's been a while since I've used the GIMP
grtz,

You sure would have noticed. I tried it 4-5 hours and my hand was numb. Every tool I needed I had to go down to the tray and pick it up. Click, click, click.
I don't like a "broken" window like that. Thanks, now I don't have to dl again to see if it has changed. :)
