View Full Version : Invision 2.0.0 Trial (Unlimited) legit?

hey i wanted to know from people who has experience with invision forum and tell me if im wrong/correct

my site www.crazygamerz.info and my host is scared that its illegal :shame:

i read everywhere and they said invision company did release an unlimited trial version back then ...so am i right or wrong :confused4

Blade, its legit. The TRIAL VERSION is free to use, but it is severely limited.

You can use the trial forever, but it is limited if you would read their site.

yeh but im saying that i got a trial version that has unlimited stuff
like usually the trial only allows 200members then the board shuts down .. but my version is unlimited of those.. people says its legal because they did release a unlimited version back then when they free ... im just finding out if they did release an unlimited version or not

If your board ends in a 2.0.0 followed by a "PF1" "PF2" PF3, etc... then you got one that's unlimited. But if it doesn't have that extension, you gotta pay to have a unlimited board.

if u dun host warez or torrents on ur own server then it's stil safe, an index of torrents won't harm much

only if you downloaded it from the invisionpower site when it was there. If you find another way of getting it then no.

Yes, You can select the upgrade instead of Install. I'm using the v2.0 unlimited trial in my forums.


I agree link to illegal warez IS Illegal cuz u promote and advertise them.

In terms of laws both are different. As long as you're not hosting warez in your server or database you're safe. Hot links to files in other servers won't hurt.
For eg.
The vBulletin license policy allows you to run a warez board as long as you're just putting links only.

in sweden and holland (i think), linking warez is not illegal as long as no of those file is host in the server...

Just remember ipb 2.0.0 had lots of secuirty issues just like all older versions of any forums have so hoping u do keep backups of data daily.
