Its kind of hard to rate a hosting company unless your a customer. In your case, your free plan customers would be able to rate you but your probably best to ask this on your site in the form of a poll, etc. Your free plan sounds great, but will probably get more signups when you get ftp :) just my 5 cent peice.

I think you guys that are on that server need to put some pressure on Donhost. It isn't fair that some of their clients get the ---- all the time.

At approximately 21:30 27/06/2001 GMT, server6.donhost.co.uk went offline. This
was due to a corrupted file system. Corrupted file systems can be caused by any
number of things and are a regular occurrence on any computer. They are normally
repaired transparently by the operating system with no loss of availability.
However on the odd occasion a problem will arise that the operating system
cannot repair itself. In the event of this it is necessary to run a manual check
and repair on the file system. This process is referred to as 'fsck' on UNIX
systems and is equivalent to 'Scan Disk' found on Windows systems which you may
well be familiar with.
The time it takes to fsck a file system depends largely on this size of the file
system. server6.donhost.co.uk is our main UNIX system and has over 450Gb of
storage space spread over 16 hard disk drives. It therefore takes a long time
for the check and repair process to complete on a server of this size.
In this case the process took just less than 4 hours and the system was brought
back online at around 01:30 28/06/2001 GMT. All services hosted on this system
were unavailable for this period although we stress that no email has been lost
during this outage.
Whilst unavoidable, we realise that the frustration faced by our customers
during this outage was compounded by the outage of earlier this month. We would
therefore like to offer compensation to all affected customers in the form of 2
days free service. 2 days service will be automatically credited to your
account, you will be billed 2 days later than you would have been otherwise.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued business.

I've seen that. Directoris sent it out, but they cut the part about compensation. ;)
2 days? Ask for more. I think it was the 4th time since I got on Directoris. They ought to fix it or change the server.

I have sent a request asking them to switch me to server 5, but they said they can't!
The webmaster told me that they still have 99% uptime!
I don't really understand that... that's why I can't guaratee my customer that I have 99% uptime... I haven't posted a thing about my web services has 99% uptime since the day I launch my site.
