I came accross hn3.net and had a look at the whois and got:

hn3.net
Request: hn3.net
Domain name: hn3.net


DOMAIN CREATED : 2001-05-04 23:46:12
DOMAIN EXPIRES : 2002-05-04 23:46:12

NAMESERVERS:
ns1.9kd.net
ns2.9kd.net

Could it be? Or are they reselling from a reseller? Or what?

hn3.net is a reseller of 9kd.net and 9kd.net is a reseller of donhost

hn3.net <---- 9kd.net <---- Donhost

But I don't think hn3.net can resell because it violates the Donhost's term of services.

I have asked the webmaster about that, but he said that my customers' cannot resell web space + Donhost doesn't provide any facilities for that. That means, my customers cannot be the reseller.

If 9kd was nice they would let their resellers know t hat they are resellers themselves and that they would have to sign up with Don Host. The reseller of the reseller would just become a reseller by themselves with Don Host.

Kinda like MLM, get to a certain point and you break from the chain and move up.

I don't think they are down in that sense, since they promise too keep the sites up for another year. Maybe they have paid donhost a year in advance and just leave the light on, so to speak.

anyway, 9kd.net is gonna live about 1yr more and its gone :(
there isnt much such cheap hosts on the net
