You may have visited, or even been hosted, with Bizari/Quack Host at some point. We host over 150 sites as of now. We have one linux server, one windows server, a couple resellers, and we are finding this isn't enough. I can't get another though becouse my ISP won't let me have anymore ips..lol. I'm looking for someone with an unused linux server that we can install vhcs on, an unbelievable open source control panel- vhcs.net. I am actully hoping that we can use the server for free/paid resellers. Bizari Networks has much to offer you, especailly it's tursted name, but because we are a primarily free service and can't offer much in the way of money. We do have skilled members and admins that can definatley work off any payments for you in time or services. We really don't require any thing facy either, no pentium 4 and HP caes-just something you have laying around from 97.. who cares. This offer probably isn't for for those who own large datacenters or a dedicated server, more for those who have a lot of spare time and have a server at their home.

Ok i think i got something for you, but I'd need more details regarding tech specs of the linux server, what you expect of the admin, how many hours per week would s/he have to invest in this and end results. How would both parties gain from this venture, etc.
If you could send me a pm (which would be the fastest thing to do) I can help you out. I've a firend who owns 2 linux/windows servers and they've been lying around for some time now. I'm sure he'd be willing to chip in or fix you up with resources and people.
hope this works out for you and good luck :)

I'll assume you have a DSL/Cable connection at least and your ISP is okay with you doing this. Also you have a DNS service.
1. Get a second LAN card for the server your running.
2. Get another cheap box.
3. Setup a VLAN between them.
Properly configured that will allow the first box to route traffic from the second - sort of a reverse version of the MS Internet Connection Sharing.

This won't help either, I had to sign a contract with the internet provider that I would only have two servers. This is because we are in a primarily residential zone and they don't want other users traffic to be slowed. I've tried everything, trust me. :)

If anyone else wants to be involved I would still love to hear about it.
