Shoshkeles invading your screen!

Anyone ever heard of this method of net advertising? I just read an article about the new forms of advertising...this has to be the most creative (read annoying) form. Here are some examples http://www.unitedvirtualities.com/shoshkeles.htm
They are really annoying, but you have to admit they are really creative and make you actually look at the ad.

there has been many discussions on this in the past at geek village and get high forums.

I think they are the best new method I have seen in a while, I think they are way better than pop unders/pop ups which really nark me off.

I hope this type of advertisng has a bright future as Its the best i have seen so far, I like unicast ads but this is better without the pop.

The only problem is for people who are not conected at a fast speed, i got cable modem though so in my opinion they are better.

They are definetly better only if they are not made to loop infinitely every few seconds. They catch your attention. They are more like tv ads which scroll around at the bottom. Speed does matter but it only takes around 5-10 second to load the ad, by that time the user is actually reading some content and then suddenly he's forced to look at the ad because of diversion of attention. It's good.
