I've just added Google ads to my website (http://moneynet.atspace.com) and I wonder how to make the ads opening in a new window when clicked?

Any advice would be great
Thanks,

i think in the setup page there is a box that asks if the ads are going to be in frames. I think this might control it, but ive never tried.

If the ads are not in a framed page you shouldn't make the open in a new window. If I remember it well it's against the TOS ... read it again .. I might be wrong.

Well, the ads are opened in a new window only when I use Opera browser, in IE it doesn't open a new window.

It seems like I earn money for my own clicks, as the report of my ad performace shows how much I've earned per clicks. However, I think they can't do this. When will they delete my earnings of my clicks?

Anyone having the same experience?

you are not also allowed to click to your owned ads, after some frude clicks adsense team may kick you, so take care of doing this in any other time.

now, are you see that your click giving you 1 click and $0.00?

I've already had about 20 clicks and $3.60 as I was testing whether it opens new widow or not. :biggrin2:
However, now there're 29 clicks and $0.00. They've already cancelled those my earnings.

But I think it's quite ridiculous not to be able to click on it. What if I'm curious what ads are displayed on my site? Or what if I'm just interested in a particular ad? I think I can simply follow the link and even they'll get a visitor for free. I think they'd send me an e-mail in case it's prohibited. Or is it written in the rules? Where can I find the rules in my account?

Thanks

Read "Terms of Service" at the end of the account page.
Good Luck

I always thought the rule of not being able to click your own ads is crap. I have clicked them a few times because I was interested in the page, but I never got any money anyway.

Oh yeah, RTFM. I mean, RTFToS

URL of the page is displayed under the ads so you can just copy&paste it, call me moron, but I often use this method on the ads that I'm curious about but I'm sure that I will not buy anything... I think this is fair.

I read the TOS even before i signed up. Then i didnt sign up, read the tos 1 mth later, and eeventually did. Read the TOS or get kicked when you reach 99 bucks, irony, no?

You can shoot google an email and make them aware of the situation. I was in a similar situation not too long ago and I wasn't kicked by google because I had informed them. Of course, they deleted the earnings :\
