For 2 Gb's of space and 10 Gb's transfer, I'd think you are looking at a minimum of $40/mo (though that is most likely low). That is unless you want an unlimted BULLFROG host, which there are, of course, many many out there that will *say* they'll offer you all of the above for $20/mo.

It's for a clan network site that will have updated game news, vbulletin forums, game files, and other cool stuff.

We also want to have a small clan hosting aspect where we can offer 5mb of clan hosting and a subdomain address for beginner clans.

I know the clan hosting does not sound like much at 5mb, but we would put no banner ads on their page, and they would get a forum of their own on our Hosted Forums section. If they needed game files then they can link it from our main site. Oh well, it's just something we want to do. =P

Sounds great rebel, just realize you should look for something dependable and solid, and not try to fool yourself into thinking that you can get more than you should get of a server for 1/30th the price. It simply doesn't work that way and it is better to realize it now than later. Just develop a plan for growth that is realistic, as I know right now the site only probably needs 100MB and 1 gig of transfer to start.

Yeah I know what ya mean. I have actually had an offer for a nice $99/mo server from one guy, and shared hosting on a brand new raq server from another. Hmmm =P

Tera-byre and Rackshack offer them, I lease a 4r from tera-byte. There is also another link http://99servers.com and while a $99 server is extremely inexpensive, it is more reasonalbe than a $20/mo unlimited hosting account. If you can find one to share with some friends, that might work out for both of you.
