I just signed up with doteasy.com . It sounded pretty good so I decited to pay the 25 bucks to get hosting and a domain name for a year. So, any of you heard anything good about that or did I just waste some cash? That's the best deal I thought I could ever find.

doteasy's $0 hosting plan? i think you just wasted no cash. you can still modify the DNS setup.

If you don't mind the lack of features, it's fine. Fairly good speed, and almost no downtime. Not really the best deal considering you have to pay $25 for the domain and don't get anything but the basics, but if you don't need much then it should be OK.

Valuable Host provides alot better service and space at the same price as doteasy, at valuable host there's no setup cost so it's basically better, you should take a look around there. It's 36 dollars a year just like doteasy but ALOT better! Go there!:D

Allthough he's right :-) Valuablehost does offer more for almost the same price.

Just for the record: I do not have connections with the Valuable Host owners :-)

Doteasy.com is in my opinion a waste of money

Amazing how easy it is for other companies to claim it is spam by another company without the facts, i do not know who he is, but since its his first post i am anxious, i would the moderators to give me the ip so i can find out. Email the IP to me, admin@valuablehost.com, i have sent him a message on the icq he has in his profile, and please do NOT anticipate anything is spam without the facts.

A disgusted ValuableHost :(

I would bet anything that it wasnt done by Valuablehost, He's a professional person and actually cares about his company's image.

I really don't understand why people make such a big deal out of this, isn't it just a logical conclusion if you compare valuablehost and doteasy? I understand why webhosts may not advertise their own services here (also for logical reasons) but if I was a valuablehost customer and I would be satisfied about the services, I would recommend it too.

I feel that the person who claimed the spamming thing just had some envy (that his own host wasn't recommended) and the one accused of spamming (the one who recommended valuablehost) was just a satisfied customer.

Take it easy on Valuable Host. I've had the same type of thing happen to me where a customer praises you incredibly on a forum where he's brand new and it looks like your spamming. It only hurts the company’s reputation so respect companies wouldn't do that. It does happen though but when the host himself is on the board and addresses the thread obviously it wasn't him.

If you want the IP contact Peo as I don't want to give that information away without authorization.

Going back to my story after I found out who was posting the reviews it turns out the person wasn't even a customer. He was going to become a customer after he finished his site. Why someone would praise a host before using them I don't know...

Point being that it does happen and you shouldn't assume the host did it.

I believed you from the start. I would get hosting from you, but I'm a little short on cash. And I have some pretty good hosting at directoris. THey seem down less often.
