I have uploaded a new design at http://www.glomar.net
It is supposed to be extremely fast.
So please give me your advice on it... thank you.

I think you should optimize your site for 800x600 or 1024x768 res and not to 1152x864.

I tested it on 800X600 and 1024X768, it works fine.
How is does it look?

yeah it looks fine in all but I mean 1024x768 and 800x600 are the most common resolutions, you get scroll bars in both, when you only have to scroll down a few pixels.
see what I mean.

I'll get that fixed.

I like the simple, "text based" look if you get what I mean. But I think there is a problem wíth the text. Grey on grey in combination with centered for a quite long text isn't that good an idea. Centered text is considered the next hardest to read. The ridiculous justified is worse though.

I have optimized it for 800X600 and added something new... (got that little nifty menu from a freebie site, looks cool... I might pay for it to get rid of the small ad)

Its not bad. I like the nav menu. But the welcome page could use more pizzaz.

Yeah I know... I suck at Flash... anybody there make me a flash intro? I will credit you on my intro page.
Your entrance page definitely needs work. It's way too plain.
Your main pages doesn't attract me very much... kinda dull. And the layout looks like designs from the '90s.

No matter how good you make it, people still complain--guess everyone has different tastes.
Your web hosting sounds okay even if it is only 1mb but e-mail uploading? I never tried that...

This is scary. The text on your free webhosting page (???) is formed like an H bomb mushroom. Hope this isn't an omen. :(

I am going to put a real nice banner in soon, so don't get impacient. Sorry, I can't change the design, I have to go with what most say, I will try to spruce it up professionally as much as I can.
I didn't notice that Meow.

looking better, hey I could give you a hand with your flash intro.
What exactly do you require ?
Giancarlo

Just a nice intro... with a Combat Aircraft as the Background, probably that one there. Two Lines of Text flying by or something that seems best and an enter button.

So pro5ject, you come up with anything yet?
If you do, I need a source code and the flash file... my Webeditior (Corel) is giving me problems in trying to implement flash files... so if you can give a source when you are done.
I am giving you a million of thanks for this, and will credit you on my intro page.

The intro page is definately the weakest link. soon to change, i suppose. The Navbar is nice, but is it necessary to have it in a frame? If so, make the background of the frame the same colour as the background of the main page. Grey on Grey is a little drab; Its your site though, you can make those choices.
How long until the "extensive" database is finished?
Glad you could offer webhosting again. Is there the option of extending the 1mb if the site hosted is really good?

Thanks for those suggestions, I had it in a frame so moving throughout section to section would be easier, and so that I wouldn't have to put the navbar on every single page. I'll change the grey to the same once I get around to it.

Don't even ask how long it will take... Forever. I just got finished with the Federal Republic of Germany... and now I get twenty more to go.

I'll think about it.

I had it in a frame so moving throughout section to section would be easier, and so that I wouldn't have to put the navbar on every single page. That is what serverside scripting is for (SSI, PHP). On your intro page, you have a free ad from addesigner.com, you have a cooltext (a bad one at that) logo for your main page, your navigation system is a free (and crappy) on from flashbuttons.com. Your messageboard is a free remotely hosted one from voy.com, your guestbook is also a free remotly hosted one from revamp.net. You use the very original design of a left frame for navagation, and the right frame for content. Can you do anything yourself? I mean... Come on... your site is an amalgamation of things that people are too lazy to do by themselves, so there is a service for it. The site sucks. I didn't want to respond... because it will just seem like I am saying that because I don't like you, but it is the truth. The site sucks because EVERYTHING on it was done by someone else or some other service.
there, I did it. phew... I feel better...
Another thing... I don't have anything against using free services, it's just when every sigle aspect of your site has them... it makes it seem so cheap. And I am sure you have cgi-bin at below10host... not know how to use it? It's not hard... really, and it would make your site SOO much better.

Maybe he doesn't know how to run CGI scripts. Everything thing like Guestbook, message forum are done by some other services.

Thanks Bigperm, for that unhelpful advice. A lot of people think different about my site, so I am sorry you feel that way about it. The Military Site is all done by me, I had to research on it so I could make sure I have the correct information.
The site sucks because EVERYTHING on it was done by someone else or some other service.
I don't take advice from you, because you are my enemy. The only thing that is different is the message board and guestbook, why the hell should I pay for some damn expensive $200 Message Board and install my own guestbook when I don't have time!?! I have to work on the Military Database and show people what I really know.
And yupapa, stay the ---- out of this, I know how to work CGI... and I really don't want to waste my time on that.
your navigation system is a free (and crappy) on from flashbuttons.com.
Well other people say different.
Bigperm, you are just doing this to get back at me. You are upset that I could make a better site than you did.

Then why can't he stay the ---- out of YUPAPA?
That will bring him a lot of time to work on his CGI

Sorry kid, I have to contact my older friends that have recently joined the Army about Military Equipiment, I know of someone who is a Anaylst in an office that tracks the equipiment for that base. I need to wait for emails to complete my military database site. I am going to join the ROTC in two years myself.
I don't want CGI, pain in the --- to fix... I tried it before, the message board I had was $50 (A discount rate), and I had to install myself. I reinstalled six times in two weeks because of problems.
