New Layout What You Think.........

my site is http://ballx---------- i put up a new layout and i am on a new host that just started out so i want you guy's to tell me how it loads and is it a good look stuff like that thanks.

It took a while to load (1min+) on 56k modem.
Black on dark grey is a bit hard to read, and on some older monitors you may not see the difference in them (so they wont see any text)
One thing I really like is the menu, but again I think you should change the colours for ease of reading.......................................

about 20 seconds with cable (@home - netherlands), which is very slow... I usually d/l pages with images in 3-6 seconds
the text colors SUCK... really, can't think of another way to put it :p

I don't like it... it takes unusually long in ADSL, and the text is ugly.

ok since i have the abilty to update my site in like 5 mins i have changed the colors but i don't care if it's slow you can stay on it longer .

according to Opera, the main page is 305kb??? that's wayyyy to much!!! think of all the 56k (or lower) ppl, they will have to wait for about a minute (+/- 4kbs) for the page to load...

The design itself is alright. But the flash buttons that you got from Guistuff.com are really unnecessary. It doesnt really go with the site; it seems out of place. They do look cool & stuff, and might "WOW!" some people, but it doesnt go that well. Just replace them with a nice looking image that matches the design of the site. Another suggestion is to use another font besides Times New Roman, it makes your site look a little amateurish. It'll look better with something like verdana, tahoma, or arial.

The page did take a while to load for me. You might want to consider optmiziing that 40kb jpg on the top of your site. And if you replace the flash buttons with regular images it may make a difference in loading time.

But the layout of that page is wonderful, not much images, it loads fast and the navigation is excellent.

Yeah... it's easy to have MSN Messenger... if there's a new reply I see it immediately ("you've recieved a message from FreeWebspace Community Mails"), so I can be there in a few secs...

The layout: it looks better, but it's far from 'perfect...'

- 1. The inner color of the tables are the same as the background color, you can't really see they are 'buttons'
- 2. Your rant of the week needs a smaller font :p
- 3. Add a margin to your main table

(A bit offtopic: is Tenshinhan the same person as Tien in the UK/Dutch version of DBZ?)

Not really about the main page, but maybe you can work a little on your flash intro, it looks like you've made it with Swish 1.0 or something... I don't mean this to insult you, but that's the way I see it :p
