I've been looking for an addfree reliable place to run Greymatter, so far i've tried barrysworld, portland, hobbiton, and some others i've lost count.

any suggestions? i've come the farthest with portland, but I've heard a lot of bad things about them.

in case you don't know what greymatter is... the host would need GOOD cgi so I can chmod, and ftp.

Have you tried f2s? They would be the best place to do that in my opinion. What do you mean by good cgi? All cgi (except NT, of course) you HAVE to chmod... with FTP or telnet.

did you try to make your files suid on hobbiton??

hmm? i tried to CHMOD the files..and at first it worked, but then i got an error message saying "insecure permissions."

I think they only let you chmod to 755.

that's what i thought. it's annoying as hell, b/c otherwise....i'd use it.
