So who else bought GTA:SA?

Most games start @ $90 now...

and yes Bruce, games are ---- expensive here, with our weak currency and all - I bought HL2 this week because it was $90 originally, but was reduced by 50% :)

It's only 4.7 gigs... which sadly isn't even the largest game I have installed.

It's about the same size as my HL2 install and nearly a gig smaller than Act of War.

Games are getting large though... and just the installs are taking up nearly 40 gigs on my machine. :eek:

I knew singapore has lots of laws, but I didn't know you go as far as banning video games. Here they ban components of games, like removing hookers and whatnot, thought u would just be like that.

It crashes in the intro bits and rs'd my system...might be my system overheating or the game itself. I'm pretty certain it's the latter.

IT's probably the game. A lot of people have been having issues with it... whether it be sound problems, or just random crashing.

Thankfully I haven't experienced any issues with it though... yet.

That's why I only play games on Playstation... No crashing and you know its gonna be compatible with your system, coz they are all the same :)

I got it from a friend who doesn't play it all that much so he gave it to me. I like it really. I have a ton of games for PS2. I dont really play computer games all that much though.

I know an error with GTA:SA and BF2...

Well it happened on my XPS Gen3

If i have GTA:SA loaded on my comp then i cannot run BF2, it goes to a black screen. But GTA:SA is ok. So if you have both games uninstall GTA:SA Cos BF2 rocks!

I started playing it again (had not beaten it yet), so...I beat the story missions, and was going to do all the other stuff...but I kept running into loading problems. I think the laser in my PS2 is dying. I think maybe I'll crack it open and try swabbing it with rubbing alcohol. Hopefully that works.

hmm. Is your PS2 placed virtically?

No, it is not placed vertically. It might have some dust on it which makes the "stream-loading" of SA hard to handle, or maybe the laser is dying.

Mine has been upright since I bought it.

I think it's severely dusty inside (college dorm room for a whole year with the windows open 24/7 and no air filters) because it's seems to lag or have trouble with some games, especially San Andreas.

I got a bunch of games I don't play, I was thinking about trading those plus my old PS2 for a new one.
