Free Web Space That Supports UBB

I am trying to find free web space that will allow the full use of cgi and sendmail so I can set up my UBB (Ultimate Bulliten Board).

I have looked at a few but even tho they allow the use of custom CGI they do not offer sendmail so the E-Mail features of the board will not work.

Any suggestions people have would be helpfull.

Well, Find a FWP with CGI and look in their FAQ or support and see if they allow CHMOD and if they have a send mail feature


http://netcabins.com is a nice host, they have an ad but it's cool

DONT use tripod, they don't allow CHMOD

you can try hypermart.com < ad
netcabins.com < ad, but fast
http://www.portland.co.uk < no ads, good for cgi (used it) but SLOW
http://www.f2s.com < nice, no ads, weird way for PHP and SSI tho

As an after thought I have an f2s page but cannot get UBB to work all I ever get is an internal server error.

this is the information supplied as the path for CGI/PHP:

Your full directory path for use in cgi/php scripts is:
/web/sites/326/USERNAME/www.USERNAME.f2s.com

Yet when I use this imformation all I get is the error.

Is anyone familiar with this and do you know a work around?

Dont know, when i was at F2S i was a newbie and didn't know sh** ... so i have no clue mabey go to the FAQ or http://www.users.f2s.com

Just make use netcabins.com.
they are really great and they have some kick---- tech. support.

they allow custom cgi and have sendmail.
