Well, I'm pleasantly surprised with the performance of this little bugger...I just wish Sony included a bigger memory stick so I could put some more "homebrew" games on it...*cough*

Oh, and videos too. :p

NBA:PSP isn't really that bad for a handheld, but considering how much more could be done with it, 989 sports really did make a crappy effort

My brother is the store manager of a GameStop down here in S. Florida and he's anzy-panzy over his PSP. He won't leave home w/o it. He even took it to play games while him and his future wife looked at homes.

The last handheld I ever played was the original gameboy. I can't think of a time when I would ever play one.

I wonder if he'll go so far as to bring it with him on his wedding day. :P

By the way...the audio output is terrible, especially on the dainty speakers they embedded in it--it sounds quieter than AVLS on my MD player...

Isn't that bad really. My brother carries a pair of external speakers w/ him.

I wonder why they didn't throw in a 10-band equalizer or something :p

Are these speakers designed for the PSP or just average portable speakers ?

I'm assuming they're just regular portable speakers; apparently there are replacement speakers for the device itself...hopefully they're somewhat louder. Then again, I'm not going to void my warranty just to do that.

the psp is pretty neat.. my friend bought one in singapore, AFAIK, he's the first person to write a homebrew 3d renderer, albeit software... the games are cool, and watching video's on it is enjoyable too -- porn doesn't look half bad.

Heh they only started selling PSPs here in March... Before that we had expensive // imports from the States.

I believe they are for average portable speakers. They are really really thin and when you are not using them they clip together for storage and form a 1/2" tall box. I think he got them off ebay (he's addicted to ebay).

Which is abnormal how? I remember the 989 Sports games on the original PlayStation. They made good coasters.

:(

Well it's the only real NBA game simulation right now; street showdown is well...street showdown. Gotta make do with NBA:PSP for now.
