View Full Version : I have a question about Fox/Alex

been missing out a lot on the things happening in this forum, since I've been kinda busy with work lately. apparently there is a new company kelmhosting.com that is gonna open soon. and from the info i read from this forum it seems like this company is owned by a 13 year old student (or was there exaggerations?).
I'm just sorta wondering how could a high school student (or less) be able to afford the cost and effort to do that? first off, I read that post by Fox about providing support. you wake up at 4am, yet at the end you said you provide support from 4pm to 1am or something around that. that, in my opinion, implies that you're sleeping somewhere later than 1, and when you end your support and get ready for bed it'd be around 2. that'd be 2 hours of sleep for you each day, are you sure you're doing that?
as for other things.. how could one possibly run a web hosting company without registering it? so i have to assume you are registering your company. i was thinking you have to be 18 years old to do that. then there's bank accounts, credit cards, all of which you can't do as a 13 year old.. and it's hard to imagine any parents letting their child mess with their credit card and name for registering these things. then there's the cost. it IS possible that your parents are rich enough to be providing you with the money to take on all these, but it's really hard to imagine any parents trusting their 13 year old child on that. maybe if you were 17 they'd be ok with it. (that is, still assuming that post i read about was not an exaggeration -- that you are really 13 -- plus you did not deny it yourself either)
recently i have some plans of starting up a company (a real, legit one, not one that i just set up a web site providing the service), and i run into a lot of problems/hassles EVEN THOUGH i'm already 18 and do have the money. it's really hard to imagine somebody 5 years younger than me doing that and sounding like he's doing fine and all with it. now no offense, who knows, there are geniuses everywhere, i'm not a smart one, so things that take me a lot of effort might be pieces of cake for some geniuses, but considering the fact that you're getting badmouthed so hard by many others here, perhaps you might want to re-consider before opening this web hosting company... just a piece of advice.

i just read the thread about kelmhosting gone bankrupt down there. for some reasons i missed it before i posted this. so never mind, guess it went out earlier than i could write something about it. =)

heeeeeeeee's Baaaaaaaaaaaack BlueHost.cc (ws). I think they are getting a considerable discount on hosting through Dim8.net as there is a link at the bottom of the site. I think his parents give him the money to run the busness, however, I dont think his business is registered (which is most probably illegal, or legal untill he starts making money). He must have some money under his belt (from his parents), he has registed quite a few domain names, and hes most likely paying for this server as well. Oh, well, I wonder when the "grand opening" is this time?

Bluehost.cc is not ran or even touched by Alex. BlueHost.cc is being moved to it's own RaQ4i owned by Tom from netcabins. After the fall of kelmhosting, Tom added BlueHost.cc to the server but than decided to open his own hosting. Alex is NOT part of BlueHost.cc.
As far as it being part of Dimension 8, it is because I co-own it and I helping Tom get it off the ground.
As far as Bluehost reminding you of TacidHost, if anyone knows how I operate a business, you than know that I'm not a TacidHost type person.
BlueHost.cc the domain hasn't transferred over the the new server yet because I haven't had the time to change the IP for the nameservers for bluehost (ns1.bluehost.cc and ns2.bluehost.cc)
If anything, contact me.

All this is true. Alex has nothing to do with BlueHost. TacidBlue has NOTHING to do with BlueHost. It's run by Robert from Dim8 and by myself.

Hey NC_TOM nice to see that you are starting your webhost soon. Will you only do paid hosting?

I never really thought bluehost had anything to do with tacidblue. It was just the name.
As far as Alex not having anything to do with BlueHost, okay. The last I knew was that Alex wanted me to design him a layout for his new host (BlueHost) and I told him I couldn't. Then he asked me if I wanted to split the cost of the server and again I said no.
Well that's all I knew.
Good luck guys.

he was - than Tom and I decided to go our own way and do it ourself.
The DNS hasn't updated yet - but the IP is 216.12.210.22.
There is so much that has to be done before we open Bluehost. The DNS is still updating. The nameservers are still updating.
A new design is being worked on, new packages are forming, and more!
Thanks.

About my future hosting plans, yes I still plan to re-open NetCabins. However, John from DataBlocks is/was my business partner. I have not been able to get ahold of him lately to see how things are coming along. If he doesn't help me, NetCabins will not happen. It's as simple as that. If John shows up, you'll have the best free hosting ever. If he doesn't, you probably won't have the best free hosting for quite some time..

Nothing in life is free :) Its a surprise, I can't really disclose anything. Its exciting enough to almost make myself wet my pants, however I stoped doing that years ago :D . And, I doubt its anything you would really get excited about either. Just something, im sure some of my (corperate) customers will appreciate a lot more.
