What do you do when you are sick?

My stomach has been paining like hell all day ( I donno what the problem is though and I'm hoping I recover before tommorow coz I got a party to attend :) )and I'm just lying in the bed trying to kill time. I'am bored. What do you guys do when you are ill?

I go around the house -----ing to everyone about how ill I am!
And usually watch an old movie that I've seen a thousand times, like Return of the Jedi or Blues Brothers.

Depends on what my illness is. If I don't take any medicine I get my favorite blanket, and the TV pillow, sit OVER the heater vent (sealed off with my blanket so I have a nice comfortable temperature under the blanket) and watch tv + movies all day.

My suggestion to you? Take two TUMS and see if it gets better..my stomach has had pains like that before and tums helped.

it usually fixes anything. :) it helped when I burned my fingers by picking up the wrong end of a sparkler last night. OWWWWW

but, if it's bad... goto the doctor. that's what he's there for.

I'm back to normal! Popped one aspirin (it's called crocin here) had an energy drink and went to sleep.

Stay away from tums or rolaids, they have actually been proven not to work at all. Trust me I know. Go make some green tea ( or tea without milk and very little to know sugar), sit back and relax. The most important thing is to just relax. I have been battleing indigestion and tummy problems (plus many other effects) due to a parasitic infection for the past few years. I have been from doctor to doctor to doctor, and waited months to see specialists. They did nothing for me, so I eventually saved up to go see a naturopath and he has been working wonders with me. A lot of my symtoms are gone, but the more serious ones im still battleing. I also have a condition that is undiagnosed and they cant figure it out at all, which kink of freaks me out :/

But, when I do its pretty bad ... :mad:


Three cases::D :o :cool:

1.) So I usually will take medicine depending on the illness and usually sleep it off.

2.) If its not that bad then I will generally watch T.V. or movies all day.

3.) Sometimes I just need a day off from work so I pretend I am sick and stay home. In this case I will go to the beach, do something on the PC, do something outside, or just do something fun.

I fight it, I don't take medicine because I need to be resistant on my own to sickness. I had horrible headache, which disappeared after twenty minutes. I do whatever I usually do like go on the net and wait until I get better.
