I have a community website that has personal information that needs to be protected. I have the site at digitalrice, but it's been down more than up recently. I've tried to be patient, but it's beyond patient by now. I have everything in ASP pages with include files with a session variable. I know programming, but not web programming (I'm learning slowly ;) ). I liked digitalrice because it supported FTP, ASP and had NO banners. Any suggestions for a replacement????

Thanks for the help!

Websamba is junk. I signed up for them about 4 weeks ago, and have yet to receive my Account Activation Email. However, I did get spam for some panty hose thing from websamba. Thats just my experience, maybe you'll get better luck.

Say you didn't get the pantyhose did you? :D

You can try www.cfm-resources.com it has FTP and No Ads.
They also support Coldfusion if you want to...

My Problem is that CFM-Resources doesn´t give me the speed I want to, that may be a problem from where I´m from (The Netherlands that is)

Otherwise have a try, I have been most pleased with them until I found another free ASP Host.

Well,
ms-network is going to the get www in the sky at end of month...
It was PAINFULLY slow, but the Italianglio Support pages were a treat in themselves...

So quaint, so funny....but HECK!!

All the right info was easy to find.

I LOVE Digitalrice, it will be back on 20th, but with only 10mb

Why not check out:
http://www.phidji.com
http://www.efrance.fr

Both have pop ups, efrance offers a banner as an option, both have smtp, ftp, ASP. Unrestricted number of databases too

Both are FAIRLY fast, phidji is exceptional. Also, the efrance pop ups seem a little more obtrusive. Phidji "pops up" automatically, for efrance you paste in browser, so maybe the script I pasted it in makes it act funny?

Apart from digitalrice, only brinkster and cfm.com have no ads.

There is NO ftp at brinkster, (maybe no smtp too?) but the uploader doesn't suck QUITE as much as it used to.

Hope this useful
