Pardon my ignorance and correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't use a free host such as tripod for example that doesnt have its own nameservers for my domain without url redirecting right? That is, even if the registrar provides the nameservers. I would have to use a free host that allows you to have free domains, right? I dont want to redirect, I want my files to show up as domain.com/file.
Thanks for any help, i don't know much about this.

the DNS of the host must point to your account on their server.
You must point your domain to the DNS of the host. You can do that at the place where you registered your domain.
Tripod doesn't provide domain hosting
Many others do
Hope I've helped, I'm no guru either

you could use a free nameserver solution.
try mydomain.com or zoneedit
but what you get is redirection...
but there are free hosts that offer domain hosting...
some redirection services offer what they call "path forwarding". I've never tryed it personally, but they say that using this feture you can redirect to a free host and still get the "domain.com/file" effect that you want.
try http://www.wzr.net and http://www---------- for more info.

you can use freeservers.com. After you change your nameserver to ns3.freeservers.com for NS 1 and ns3.freeservers.com to NS 2, and after you signup there you can ftp to yourdomain.com and browse your site http://yourdomain.com. Freeservers allow you to point your MX record to bigmailbox.com or everyone.net.
