From Todd to Me
Nice to see someone knows how to try and keep a thread off topic. Thread locked, take it up through instant messages and please stop taking threads off topic.
I am sorry for helping to keep topics straying. I will now become a model poster for trying to keep things on track. I have been here so long, and off topic posting is widely done, i find myself comiiting the crime without knowing it. Thanks Todd i can take a hint ;)
It would be good if others followed suit too

Rather then let conversations that are off topic continue just go to the General Chat forum and start a new thread on that topic. At least then the thread will be on topic and you can still discuss whatever topic you would like as long as it's within the rules.

Can't you make a useless threads forum? And don't count the posts on it? Like in the test forum. Or rename the test forum to Test and useless things forum

So people can "test" useless posts? ;)

Then whatever has happened before will happen now - basically what the guy above me said.

The why did you have to say it again? Now this is a perfect example of how people increase their post count.

No, you are wrong. I post because I want to say something. I don't give a ---- about the post count. I just hate it when somebody accuses me of posting for post count.

Are you serious? People care about post count for real? Why? I can see that how long you have been a member may mean something. But post count? It doesn't say nothing. Some are more talkative. That's all.

Except for the people who want their own avatars (200) and the ability to change titles (1500), there's absolutely no reason to care about the post count.
Ever since I started posting, I only post because 1. I want to say something 2. I want to say something 3. I want to say something 4. I want to say something 5. I want to say something.
Got that?!

Are you mad at me? I wasn't referring to you. I was surprised about the interest for post counts.

I can understand that people will do it for the atavar things and I think they should be easier to get to prevent this. I was lucky I was at 199 posts when they started and I'll confess to posting a pretty lame 'now I can have an atavar post just to get one'.
I am embarrassed how many posts I have not proud of it and NLC is a mark of shame.

No, I'm not mad at you. I'm just adding more comments... adding my thoughts. Just talkin' 'cause I wanna say somethin'... :D

If I make 116 posts today I get rid of the mark of shame. :p

The one thing that I've noticed is a lot of people are starting to reply to messages with just a smilie face. Understood you want to relate your emotion to the message but how about you type something along with that smilie? If I personally see just a smilie and no message I will be removing it from here on out.
Post count really shouldn't matter. You could have 1,000 posts but if 900 of those were off topic are you any better then the person with 100 posts that were on topic and helpful to the person with a question? Not in the slightest... You’re only as credible as the advice you give.

Todd, that best describes me. Only 50 of my posts are on topic, actually.

:D is nicer than 'lol'
 should be allowed when you are responding to a garbled post that makes no sense

You could spend the time to type: I don't understand a word your saying... I might let it slide as it would be on topic in that situation but it doesn't take to much effort to type one setence.

This thread is getting to be a little ironic; I post an apology about posting off topic, and look what it starts doing.

The color's wrong.... *lol*
Just posting a smilie is also a way of telling people something
Todd

It's not that I object to stating something with a smile but every member of the board could do that and needless to say it'd get annoying. Just post a message with your smilie face and be done with it.
