Geez, man. I don't post here much, but you're going against human nature. You're going to have a lot of banning to do. Unless everybody goes to a different message board. Then you'll be left all alone.

Christy November 26th, 2000, 07:16 I think they are reasonable rules Peo November 26th, 2000, 07:46 The rules are the same as they have always been. I've just written them down for all to read. So, that moderators and members have some guidelines. I don't see any rules here that do not apply to other forums on the net. The rules are just common sence. What part of the rules do you have a problem with? Technics November 26th, 2000, 09:34 The word RULE lol. Chicken November 26th, 2000, 12:14 1. Spam and referral links are not allowed. Now no one wants spam on the board or those 'helpful' people who refer you just to get another nickel in their AllAdvantage account, heh. 2. Personal attacks are not allowed. It really doean't give a good impression to new members if they read the forums and see flaming and attacks on members. You can say what you want to say without harassing people to death. 3. Posts unrelated to the forum topics are not allowed. This is more for when spammers just decide to pop in and offer their 'paid hosting services' in the free forum for example. General tangents are expected to a degree (happens in typical conversations). 4. Crossposting the same message on multiple forums is not allowed. How many times do you have to read the same message? This is just common courtesy. 5. Discussions about how to cheat a free host or other services are not allowed. This forum is dedicated to helping FWPs and people looking for FWP, but not to help them cheat the industry out of the very thing that keeps it going (in most cases). I found these to be quite resonable, but if you have a suggestion, I'm sure the powers that be (not me mind you, heh), would consider it. UnitedTec November 26th, 2000, 14:53 What exactly is the problem with the rules. Most of them are just common sense and being courteous to others. Whoever owns this site and pays the bills gets to set the rules. Gayowulf November 26th, 2000, 17:28 I think most of the rules are common sense, and should just be known anyways. The spam and flame/troll ones, though I think are definately not common sense to some people. to many a forum like this is a place to spam about their site (the person "advertizing" may not know that they are spamming.) i think the flaming rule is good. when you say something like "you are a piece of ---- and should die" it makes you look sort of unintelligent and then every one hates you. I think if you have a valid point to make against someone and if you phrase it well it should be ok. Trolling is bad, but there is nothing i enjoy more than 50 people taking the troll seriously and making fools of themselves. | ||||
