if someone buy tha license for VB or IPB, can u host more then one forum with it?

No. License is good for 1 forum 1 domain.

No. If you have two forums, you pay for two licenses. Makes sense.

You can try out free forums like phpbb or SMF.

VB is only cool cus of the effects. I would rather pay free then pay alot for a plain board, even if it has some cool features.

'cool cus of the effects' - not really.

it also carries a reputation, and can help in establishing an impression for an online business, such as a host, running it.

If you're trying to make an impression, I would think it would look more professional to not have any third party company branding line on your forum. That can leave the impression that it was a custom project by your legions of employees or commissioned with your vast monetary reserves.

Anyhow it's true that that most forums only let you do one install per license, though personally I think three installs per license is a better number. Three gives some room for for the average person not to have to buy twice.

I wonder if you have 1 physical install on 1 domain, and hack the file to run multiple actual boards off of a database, it's still 1 install, and if you run it as board.php?x=ID then technically, you're still legal and can have as many installs as you want :P
